25 large-scale analog color photographs/ C-print

Conceived as an immersive installation together with a four-minute video, sound recordings and marble relics, the work was produced
during a two-month residency in Carrara, Italy, in the winter of 2020.

Wounded giants - fractured, luminous and exposed to the elements: it is a meditation on matter, fragility, and the immensity of time.

The analog photographs are shot on medium format, and hold the weight of this slowness: they are not documentation but an attempt to grasp the scale of that encounter, once intimate and monumental. An attempt to give form to the dual forces that shape existence; beauty entwined with violence, permanence and erasure, and life always shadowed by death.
